the flight was long but the flight attendants were completely outfitted in green which was entertaining. the pilot and flight attendants also had accents which made me very happy. i don't think that i will ever get over the irish brogue! i plan to acquire one, along with phrases like "thanks a million."
we've been going to dunnes a lot which is kind of a jc penny type place that has a grocery store attached. i've been pleasantly surprised to find that they have pretty much everything we have at home so it wasn't entirely necessary to bring my own shampoo... (you were right, mom). hopefully we'll learn our way around the grocery store fairly quickly since it took us about an hour today to find ingredients for just lunch and dinner.
speaking of dinner, we went to this restaurant called the townhouse last night that overlooked the bay. it was delicious and a leisurely meal since we realized you have to ask for the check rather than wait for it! the walk to get to this restaurant was absolutely amazing. the streets of galway were magical... restaurants line either side of the stone walkway and the little shops and restaurants were adorable. we plan to go back to shop soon. here's what it looked like (i haven't taken any pics yet but i will soon!)
everyone here has been so friendly and i know it's going to be an amazing year! i miss everyone so much and will update soon! love you all :)
